Scene Building - Winter holiday cheer peace card

 Hello, Gaylynn here.  Thanks for visiting.  Here on this last day of July, I am sharing card scene building using a mix of stamping, heat embossing and ink blending.  I am getting an early start on my holiday card making.


Sentiment:  Peace.  Holiday cheer.

Go through your crafty stash for stamps not intended for the holidays to help create a holiday card.  These trees worked great for building the winter scene.

Holiday card foiling ~ Instagram Hop

Today for the Unity Stamp Company Instagram hop, I am sharing a bit of shimmer using foiling with holiday stamping.  This card has a monochromatic look and shimmers beautifully in person.


It is difficult to photograph foil shimmer, but this is a peek.

 Today, I am sharing a festive holiday card featuring Santa.  I love the colorful light strand and the gnome-like Santa Claus.


This was easily stamped and colored to make this festive scene.

Watercolor holiday card scene ~ Santa's list

For today on the Unity Stamp Company blog, I share this darling little Pooh Bear watercolor holiday card scene.  This one features Santa's list with the fun check mark "I tried".


For watercolor, I decided to try watercolor brush pens by Altenew for the first time.  This project turned out much more rich in color than I intended.  More practice with the pens is in order for me.

Vintage holiday wishes stocking card

For today, I share this sweet vintage holiday wishes stocking card.  It features the Velveteen Rabbit theme using rubber stamps by Unity Stamp Co.


Just look at the sweetness.  The background was made from a stamp as well.  I felt that a vintage and distressed look was in order.

Simple Santa Holiday Snowflake Card

 It is never too early to make holiday greeting cards.  This simple Santa snowflake card was made with rubber stamping, coloring and a layered embellishment.  This is a fun project to chip away at those handmade Christmas cards.  This project is also up on the Unity Stamp Co. blog today.


For coloring, I used Copic markers, but any coloring medium works just fine.  I love the fun sentiment in this stamp set.

Winter card foiling with ink blending.

 Hello and welcome.  Here is a way to do winter card foiling with ink blending.  The colors used are striking and shimmery.


Sentiment:  Warm wishes.

Two similar cards were made using the same foil and ink techniques.  One is a bit lighter in color than the other.

Season's greetings holiday card ~ clean and simple embossing

Hello.  Today, I am sharing a holiday card with clean and simple embossing.  This card was made with stamped trees, snow drifts and fussy cutting.

May this season be filled with abundant joy.

Send pretty yet simple holiday greetings with a card like this one.  No coloring is involved.

Nativity ~ Variegated Snow Card Background + Embossing

Hello.  Today, I am sharing an embossed nativity scene with a variegated snow card background.  This background technique adds beautiful shimmering detail.


Sentiment:
All is calm.  All is bright.

With this technique, dark color cardstock works nicely, or even darker ink blending as well.

Holiday Favor or Treat Box ~ My Creative Time I Need A Favor

 Hello, and welcome. Today, the My Creative Time team is sharing favor project ideas. I am sharing a sweet favor box with a cute gingerbread accent.


 This is super quick and easy to make, especially during the busy holiday season.  The box is one die, making it perfect for thank you, table decor, place settings, party treats or favors.

Sometimes, I like to use a gift tag on a greeting card.  It always add interest and some dimension.  This one is extra nice as it has a flap that opens and closed on the card front.

This gift card wrap was made quick and easily with mostly MCT dies and solid color cardstock.  I kept this one bold, graphic and simple.
