 Today, I am sharing a tropical scene with Koi pond stenciling and Copic coloring.  This is a soft combination paired with patterned paper.

Northern Lights Ink To Stamp Background ~ Graduation Card

Check out this set of cards with a Northern Lights ink to stamp background technique.  I made each card slightly different.  Graduation sentiments were added, but almost any theme will work.

The encouraging sentiment strips were added and layered for graduation greetings.  And, the backgrounds coordinate with the sentiments perfectly.  Lots of Unity Stamp Co. products were used and they are linked down below for your convenience.

Quick and easy inspirational card ~ cat scene

 Today, I share a quick and easy inspirational card with a cat scene.  This was made with no coloring, only simple stamping and paper layers.

This card has an uplifting message with a sweet cat scene.  It was made in light colors with just a few ink shades.

3-D Butterfly + Background Stamping ~ Encouragement

 Hi friends.  Try out 3D butterfly and background stamping together for easy dimension and interest.  This card incorporates both with a soft and pretty touch.

Sending encouragement and inspirational words is so meaningful.  This is one example of how to share heartfelt sentiments.

Hiding adhesive on vellum card projects ~ Bougainvillea

Hello.  For today, this is about hiding adhesive on vellum card projects.  I use a beautiful bougainvillea stamp for this example.

Sentiment:

You always amaze me.

The background color peeks through the vellum, yet the adhesive is not visible.

Positive thoughts mixed media card ~ bees

 Hi everyone.  Today I am sharing Summer vibes with a simple mixed media inspirational card.  This one incorporates mixed stamping and patterned paper.

Sentiment:  Positive thoughts

For the bees panel, I added extra color with a chicken wire stamp that also looks like honeycombs.  And for the background paper, I added honeycomb dry embossing.

Stamp, Stencil Then Emboss ~ Floral Greeting Card

 For today, I am sharing how to stamp, stencil then emboss this floral card.  It was easy and fun to make.  This is up on the Unity blog today.

I really love the combination of stamping, stenciling then embossing, especially with background stamps.

Bible journal art with stamping and watercolor.

 Hello and welcome.  Today, I am sharing bible journaling, specifically, watercolor art to add to my bible pages.

Sentiments:
Prayer changes things.
He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings, you will find refuge.

Sentiments:
She is strong ~ Proverbs 31:25
Tomorrow needs you.

This was a joy to make.  Adding art to my bible is a pretty way to complement writings and the words.

Friendship or family cancer support card with girls.

 Today, I am sharing a heartfelt card for support.  This one has a friendship theme for battling cancer.

Sentiments:

Hey cancer, you picked the wrong girl.
Sometimes the girl who is always there for someone else needs someone there for her.
I am here for you.

Inside:  Never be afraid of a scar.  It simply means you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you.

These girls can be paired with endless other sentiments.  But, this card was made special for a dear friend.

You are loved gift tag ~ MCT tag it Tuesday

 Hello.  The My Creative Time design team is sharing gift tag projects.  Today, I needed an uplifting gift tag.  This little bird and colorful layers helped make it perfect.

Sentiment:  You are loved.

For this gift tag, I used layers of tag die-cuts and also bird cuts to create the little outdoor scene.

Matching watercolor card, envelope & liner + gladiolus flowers

       Here is a pretty gladiolus floral card with a matching watercolor card, envelope & liner.  Today on the Unity blog, I am sharing a way to coordinate the floral card pattern to the envelope and liner.

Sentiment:  I'm so glad you were born!

This trio of a matching card, envelope & liner combination makes for beautiful florals on the outside and inside of the envelope.

Pumpkin Topper ~ MCT 113th Edition Release & Blog Hop

For this pumpkin card, I decided to make it a circle shape card with non-traditional pumpkin colors.  I think that it would work for Autumn, Thanksgiving or any time of the year.  Even though the die set was designed as a treat topper, the pumpkin pieces in the set can be used on their own, like in my card.  It is very versatile.

To make this circle-shaped card, gather the dies and accessories noted below.  Then die-cut all of the pieces using different colors of cardstock and/or patterned paper.  Next, stamp and trim the sentiment for the center of the card.  Also, use a mixture of flat and foam tape for added card dimension.  To finish, layer all of the pieces and add embellishments to finish.

Tropical Ocean Card ~ MFT Slimline Challenge ~ Feeling Beachy

 Hello.  Gaylynn here.  Today's card has a tropical beach theme.  I am participating in the MFT Stamps slimline challenge with the theme "Feeling Beachy".

Sentiment:

In high tide or low tide, I'm here for you.

Here are tips for making this card.  To begin, stamp the sentiment plus all of the animals and accessories.  Then, color them in.  I used Copic markers.  Next, die-cut all of them or fussy cut.  Also, die-cut the background layers, the waves and a shoreline.  On the scene layer, stencil using ink blending to make a sky with clouds.  Finally, adhere all of the sea life and elements into the slimline card front. 

The slimline card base for this project:  Cut 7" x 8 1/2" and score at 3 1/2"

Sea turtle masking + pretty paper ~ card tutorial

   Sea turtle masking is great for scene building with stamping.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing a tropical card using sea turtle stamping along with pretty patterned paper.  

Sentiment:  Keep swimming.

A mix of pretty paper along with sea turtle masking help to make this card come to life.  I requested a sea turtle stamp, and Lea Keisling then designed the stamp kit for Unity.  How awesome is that?  The elements are found in the August 2021 Whit Kit card kit.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making this card.  To begin, stamp two of the turtles onto a pre-trimmed cardstock panel.  Then, stamp two more turtles onto scrap paper.  Color in the turtles on the card panel.  Next, fussy cut (cut out) the two extra turtles to use for masking.  Using repositionable tape, mask the turtles with the cutout ones.  Next, using a stencil, blend the color over the masked panel.  Then, remove the stencil and the masks.  Also, trim a background layer from patterned paper.  Finally, layer it all onto the card base, to finish.

Lotus Flower Watercolor & Embossed Background Stamping Tutorial

 Combining lotus flower watercolor with pretty background embossing works perfectly together.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing a way to pair the two techniques for one lovely card.

Sentiment:  You are remarkably made.

For this card, I wanted to use lotus flower watercolor along with a handmade background panel.  I used two techniques for this one, and I love the way it turned out.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making this lotus flower watercolor card.  To begin, stamp the lotus flower twice onto watercolor paper.  Next, stamp and heat emboss the background waves onto color cardstock.  Also, stamp the sentiment on the same color cardstock.  Then, die-cut or trim the background panel.  Next, add watercolor to the flowers using the wet on wet technique.  Then, fussy cut (cut out) the flowers.  Finally, layer it all onto the card base, to finish.

Hummingbird Copic coloring + tropical background ~ card tutorial

 Combining hummingbird Copic coloring with a pretty stamped background makes card making easy.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing a way to add color to the bird while keeping the background stamping simple.

Sentiment:

You brighten my day.

So happy to have you in my life.

For this card, I added hummingbird Copic coloring over a palm background of the month color cardstock panel.  The combination of the sentiment kit with the background worked perfectly together.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making this card with hummingbird Copic coloring.  To begin, stamp the palm background onto smooth green color cardstock using black ink.  Also, trim or die-cut the background card panel.  Next, stamp the bird and the two sentiments onto white cardstock, using Copic friendly ink.  Then, trim or die-cut the bird panel to fit over the background piece.  Next, add color to the bird panel in bright shades using Copics or your choice of color medium.  Also, make a flag accent by trimming and adhering three small overlapping flags.  Finally, assemble the card layers, to finish.

For this mini slimline card, I used the cute popcorn die as the focus. (There is also a tall version of this popcorn die available for the tall or longer slimline card styles.) I wanted the colors to be yellow, white and red. By die-cutting most of the layers, the card base and the envelope, everything was ready to assemble. Using extra tacky tape and foam tape, the card was layered and assembled, to finish.
