Hey Girl friendship car card ~ Uniquely Unity stamps

 This card is fun, featuring a car and girls on an adventure.  This stamp scene is part of the Uniquely Unity monthly membership stamp set for May 2024 called Wind In Your Hair.

This can made for most any occasion just by switching out the sentiment.

Watercolor sailboat scene ~ Prima water soluble oil pastels & stamping

 Today, I am sharing oil pastel watercolor with sailboat stamping.  This is a large peaceful stamp that works perfectly with the watercolor.

Sentiment:

Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making this card.  First, trim and score the card base and the layers.  Next, stamp the sailboat scene onto the smooth side of a watercolor paper panel.  Next, onto a palette, make color swatches from the oil pastel crayons.  Then, brush clear water over a section of the stamping.  Also, using a wet brush, mix a pastel color to liquefy it and then apply color in sections.  Repeat for all of the sections.  Apply multiple coats to some areas if preferred, drying between sections and layers.  Once dry, assemble the card, to finish.

Framed background map floral support card ~ tutorial

 Hi there.  For Technique Time at Unity, I show a way to make a framed background with a map and a flower accent.  This is a card for support or encouragement.

Sentiment:  
I'm here and I will always be here for you.

For this card, I used layers to make the framed background, sentiment, flower and flag elements.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for creating this framed background card.  To begin, stamp the map background onto color cardstock.  Also, stamp the flower and the sentiment on white.  Next, trim or die-cut the map to make a background.  I chose to use a portion of the larger map stamp and a portion of the floral stamp for this card.  Then, trim or die-cut the sentiment panel, the frame layer and the flags.  Next, color in the flower section that you want to use on the card.  I used Copic markers for color, but any will do.  Then, fussy cut (cut out) the flower to use as an accent.  Finally, to finish, arrange and layer everything.

Pastel tropical beach card with watercolor markers and stamps

For Watercolor Wednesday, I am showing a way to get the look of pastel watercolor with stamps using watercolor markers.

Sentiment:  Celebrate!

For this card, I used watercolor brushes and stamps placed onto the smooth side of watercolor paper.  I decided to stamp and heat emboss in gold and then add light pastel colors for watercolor.  I also share ways to lighten color as you go.

Stay in touch mailbox card with Copic markers.

Today, I am sharing a sweet mailbox themed card featuring a pretty mailbox with flowers along with flag accents.

Sentiment:  Stay in touch.

For this card, I used a mix of patterned papers from one paper pad.  I die-cut the bigger flags and the background map layer.  And for the tiny flags, I easily hand cut them and used them for added card accent.  This card is great for many occasions like miss you, thinking of you, good luck, going away, moving and more.

Motorcycle masculine one layer easy card.

Here is a masculine style card featuring a motorcycle and a little ink blending.

Sentiment:  Life is a beautiful ride.

For this card, the stamping was accented with white opaque dye ink using a small sponge dauber for blending.  It creates highlights around the motorcycle, adding a touch of accent.  Sometimes less is more.  I like the clean and simple look of this one layer card.

Good vibes only camper shaped card.

Here is a cute little camper circle shaped card for today.

Sentiment:  Good vibes only.

I love the retro look of the gypsy style camper.  And I love the positive message.  This is great for most all occasions.

I made the scalloped circle shape card from die-cut cardstock along with another layer for the image panel.  I used Copic markers, then added the sentiment pieces.

Seashells Card ~ Watercolor Wednesday at Unity

It is Summertime, and therefore, seashells are the focus of today's Watercolor Wednesday on the Unity blog.  Specifically, I share a no-line watercolor with stamping technique.

Sentiment:  Always keep a little beach day in your heart.

This is an uplifting card for any time.  It is made to look imperfect and with life-like shells.  The background netting was heat embossed in gold shimmer and the vintage typewriter sentiment was stamped.  But the seashells are made with stamping and watercolor.  Then, I fussy cut the shells to add them to the background.  I used a technique called no-line watercolor with stamping.

This is a look at the colors used to watercolor the seashells.  However, I decided to use a flat stiff brush instead of the water brush shown.

A watercolor nautical card for Unity's SMAK Saturday.

Today, this nautical watercolor card is up on the Unity blog for the SMAK Saturday post.

Sentiment:  Sometimes in the waves of change we find our true direction.

It delights me to see tropical stamps, especially when they can be used in different mediums and for different occasions, not to mention for both guys and gals.  This is a mixed media style used, in this case, for card making.  I layered the net and the ship wheel stamping onto watercolor paper and then added watercolor.

It features a beautiful whale and tiny boat on the horizon.

This is a tropical scene with a sunset background and ocean waters.

I used a heartfelt thank you sentiment.

Lately, there are so many people to thank for lots of different reasons, near and far.

This is just one of many cards which I shipped to my lovely mama for her to send out to some amazing well deserved people along the way.

Here is a birthday gift tag with a little scene of tiny mountains.

Sentiment:  Breathe deep. Enjoy life. Happy Birthday.

This tag inspires me to get outside.

I used lots of different die-cuts on this one.  The mountains were colored and then trimmed to place into the little scene above.

I think this tag can be easily made for more occasions than just for birthday.
