2 Cards with 1 sheet of patterned paper + no coloring

Hello.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing 2 cards with 1 sheet of patterned paper.  Plus no coloring is required for this card set.

You are so very loved.

These 2 cards with 1 sheet of patterned paper were easy to make.  However, the shaker part is optional but took a bit more time than the other card.

Heart Shaker Valentine Card ~ Day 2 MCT 117th Edition Sneak Peeks

  Hello, it's Gaylynn.  The My Creative Time 117th Edition release and sale is coming up on Friday.  But for today, the team is sharing adorable Day 2 sneak peeks, just in time for Valentine's Day.

You make my heart smile.

This is a sweet and cute heart shaker card featuring a little gingerbread girl.  I used some cut-out hearts and sequins for the inside of the heart.  Added watercolor hearts were cut from a previous watercolor scrap that I had on hand.  Extra hearts were made from a few of the die sets noted below.  The colors were kept in the pink family with tan accents for the sentiment and the gingerbread girl.

Friendship 4x4 Shaker Card ~ MCT Made In Minutes

 Hello.  The My Creative Time design team is sharing projects which are made in 30 minutes or less.  Today, I am sharing a friendship mini 4x4 square shaped card with easy layers.

Sentiment:  Friend

For this card, I made the background into a shaker with stars and hearts confetti glitter inside.  I used MCT dies for all of the layers with no coloring involved.

For this holiday card, I used two Christmas trees, one being a shaker element filled with sequins and confetti.  The tree pieces were die-cut and the front tree includes ink blending for the background.  Then the shaker was assembled.  Finally, I layered the two trees and a sentiment tag onto the card base, to finish.

Mermaid Summer Shaker Card Tutorial ~ MFT Camp Create 2021 Day 1

 Hello.  Gaylynn here.  For today, the theme is shaker projects.  Here is my Summer themed mermaid shaker card.

Sentiment:

Sending you oceans of love.

This card was made in a clean and simple style or CAS.  I wanted the mermaid to be the focus over the circle shaker element on the card.  I love the tropical icons in the stamps and dies.  I chose blue and clear sparkle sequins inside of the shaker to mimic the ocean.

This shaker card was fun to make.  I layered a few cuts from the tag dies and stacked them with sequins inside to make an interactive shaker card.  A frame of gold glitter was added.  The layered potted plant was placed on the top layer along with the sentiment.  To finish, I added marker dots in coordinating colors of blue and yellow to accent the card colors.

Faux shaker card vintage style with a bonus gift.

 Hi there.  For today, I am sharing a vintage bird faux shaker card.  It also includes an inside message for a bonus gift.  This is ready to be regifted or reused by the receiver.

Sentiment:

Thinking of you today.

Bonus Gift:  Feel Free to remove this note and use this card for someone else.

Here are tips for making this card.  First, die-cut or trim background layers and a frame.  Next, stamp onto the top kraft color panel, with or without coloring it in.  Then, adhere confetti or adhesive gems or dots around the bird and inside the frame area.  This mimics a shaker card, but without movement of the gems.  Finally, adhere and assemble the panels onto the card base, to finish.

Fused Shaker Birthday Card

Today, I am sharing a shaker style birthday card.

Sentiment:  Happy Birthday

This is bright and happy with sequins, cupcake and lantern lights.

It includes a sequin pouch, made using a fuse tool and a photo sleeve.

It is easier than it seems.

I like the saying...

What the world needs now is love sweet love.

So, this post is dedicated to just that ~ LOVE.

And here is a shaker style card...

These are two of the newest release stamp kits by Unity which are part of their sale this weekend.  And also this weekend, Unity is donating to charity.

Shaker Card Tutorial:

Stamp the image onto  white card stock, then color the image.

Using any shape, punch or die-cut over part of the image.

Line up the loose shape exactly where the window of the image panel is and adhere the loose shape to the card base.

Make a small pouch of sequins in clear plastic.  I used a small photo sleeve, added sequins then fused the open end closed with a fuse tool.  You can also glue or use double sided tape for closure.

Tape the pouch edges to the back portion of the top image panel.

Place the top panel onto the card base with craft foam or foam tape.

Adhere the sentiment panel.

It's A Girl Baby Shaker Card

This one is for my niece.

Another girl in the family is on the way.

Sentiment:  It's a girl!

This is a shaker card filled with tiny pink and white heart confetti.

It features a baby girl dress on a hanger and it is framed in scallops.

The background is delicate flowers.  It includes gold glitter flower accents.

This is a card for cancer and heart disease awareness and support.

This encouragement card has ribbons representing:

blue ~ colon cancer

I made this a shaker style card and filled it with sequins of different colors and added an supportive sentiment tag.

Penguin Miss You Shaker Card

Shake, shake, shake!

Today I have a penguin shaker card with a tropical theme.

Sentiment:  I miss you.  That is all.

There is a mix of coloring in this for a tropical feel.  I just love this little penguin and the expression on his face.  I paired him with a miss you sentiment and a hibiscus shaker tag background.
