Hello, Gaylynn here. Thanks for visiting. Here on this last day of July, I am sharing card scene building using a mix of stamping, heat embossing and ink blending. I am getting an early start on my holiday card making.
Sentiment: Peace. Holiday cheer.
Go through your crafty stash for stamps not intended for the holidays to help create a holiday card. These trees worked great for building the winter scene.
Helpful tips:
In summary, scene building is one way to make a winter holiday card. To begin, add three shades of ink blending over the smallest oval panel to create the look of ground and sky. Additionally, stamp random trees and dots onto a die-cut or trimmed piece of ivory cardstock. Also, stamp with embossing ink or metallic ink so that the scene can be heat embossed. Next, add white embossing powder over the scene and heat emboss the panel. Then, stamp the sentiments onto different pieces of cardstock and in different ink colors. Next, make a frame layer from blue cardstock. Also, add white ink blending using pigment ink to soften the look of the dark blue. Finally, layer the scene over the card front and place the sentiments and the twine, to finish.
Here is a closer look:
Finally, here is a short video of the process.
Thank you for visiting.
