Here are helpful tips for using paper layers, Unity stamps & Copic coloring, for this card.  To begin, stamp the cross onto white cardstock using Copic friendly ink.  Next, die-cut or trim a cross panel, background paper accents and the thank you sentiment layers.  Also, stamp and trim a sentiment label for the top of the card.  (I printed the Godparents word but stamps will work also to fit your occasion.)  Then, color in the cross and the florals using coordinating colors to match the background paper.  Finally, layer it all using flat and foam double-sided tape plus add cording to the top of the card, to finish.

Spiritual card with water soluble oil pastels watercolor + ink smooshing

Hi there.  Today, I am sharing an inspirational cross card project using Prima water soluble oil pastels for watercolor and ink smooshing.

Sentiment:  Saved by Grace through Faith.

Here are helpful tips for using water soluble oil pastels as watercolor.  To begin, stamp then trim or die-cut all of the layers to fit your project.  Next, heat emboss the lace stamping in white over the lavender background panel.  Then, mix two colors of water soluble oil pastels with water using a mixing tray and a brush.  Have a plastic craft mat in place during watercoloring.  Add one color at a time to a piece of acetate and then move the color around to get a design you like.  Next, carefully place the acetate over the cross panel, wet side down.  Repeat as needed. Finally, once dry, layer everything and add adhesive gems to finish the card.

Refreshing distress marker color ~ Watercolor Wednesday

For Watercolor Wednesday on the Unity blog, I am sharing a way to extend the life of distress markers for use with watercolor.

Sentiment:  It is the smallest things that take up the most room in your heart.

For this card, I stamped onto watercolor paper and then die-cut the panel.  My distress markers were not as juicy as they once were and no longer blend easily.  So, I applied color to the craft mat along with water to create water colors.  This is one way to extend the life of watercolor markers.

Bible Journal Paper Art & Quick Tip Video Tutorial

Today, I am sharing a bible journal page decorated with paper art.

I love making my journal pages pretty and inspirational.

Sometimes I decorate my bible journal pages using paper art to avoid certain markers and inks bleeding through to the back side of the thin pages.

Other times, I get creative directly onto the pages themselves.

I am no expert in this area.  But, I have a few posts documenting my trial and error process.

I explore different art mediums and the outcome when used on thin bible pages directly.

These techniques can also be used in planners and other journals.

Baby Girl Baptism Personalized Card

For my project today, I am sharing a baby girl baptism card, personalized.

I adore this Unity Phyllis Harris image so much.  For this occasion, especially, I wanted this to be extra soft and sweet.  I added a scalloped frame and scalloped vellum topper.

There is a similar little boy image available, which I will be using very soon.
