Two step stamping on color cardstock ~ poppy flowers

 Hi friends.  Today we are creating a mini slimline card featuring poppy flowers with two step stamping on color cardstock.  This is a project made for Unity Stamp Co.

Sentiment:  Best wishes.

This mini slimline poppy card overlaps the card base, but it fits great inside an A2 sized envelope.

Watercolor graduation hat floral card

Hi friends.  Today for the Unity blog, I have a watercolor graduation hat floral card, ready for celebrating.

Sentiment:
Bittersweet endings, exciting beginnings.

For a soft look, I added watercolor for color in coral and teal shades.  Also, I chose a complementing sheet of patterned paper to accent. 

Mermaid Dreams Card ~ My Creative Time Anything Goes

 Hello.  The My Creative Time design team is sharing anything goes projects with a mermaid theme.  My card includes a little tropical watercolor background scene.

Sentiment:  May all your dreams come true.

This is great for celebrations, birthdays, good luck or just because.  I love all things tropical.

Wedding Car Slimline Card ~ My Creative Time Anything Goes

 Hello.  The My Creative Time design team is sharing anything goes projects.  Today, I am sharing a slimline or tall style card for a wedding.

Sentiment:

Mr. & Mrs.
Congratulations on your marriage.

This card is ready for the new bride and groom.  It can be for related occasions, like bridal shower, save the date, engagement, etc.  I thought that the car would be perfect on a tall or slimline card.

Ink blending, masking & Copics Summer beach card tutorial.

 Today, I am sharing a Summer beach card featuring a girl in a tropical scene.  I used a mix of distress ink, Copic markers and masking for the scene building.

Sentiment:  Wishing you sunshine & happiness.

Helpful tips:

To create this beach scene, begin by stamping the beach girl scene and the sentiment onto cardstock.  Also, trim or die-cut the beach panel to fit the card base.  Next, add a touch of Copic coloring to the girl and the shells.  Then, mask the background, one section at a time, for distress ink blending.  Use lots of color layers for a richer look.  Move the masking to continue the process onto the sections of the beach where the color changes.  Finally, layer the panel onto the card base with added gems, to finish.

Potted plant shape card tutorial ~ gold embossing + Copics

 Adding shimmer with heat embossing makes this potted plant shape card shine.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing one way to make a handmade shape card with a garden theme.

Sentiment:  Best wishes.

This card was hand trimmed with scissors to get the potted plant shape.  It stands up like a regular greeting card.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making this potted plant shape card.  To begin, stamp and heat emboss the background and the sentiment.  Also, stamp, color and heat emboss the flower.  I suggest that if you want to use Copic markers for color, stamp first with Copic friendly ink, color and then heat emboss, using a stamp positioner.  Next, fussy cut (cut out) the flower, the gold glitter trim and the sentiment.  Then, trim the bottom sides of the pot and the card base to make the shape.  Finally, assemble the card layers over the shape card base, to finish.

Teach love inspire sunflower jars ~ soft colors tutorial

 Hello.  This is a card to acknowledge and show appreciation for teachers and families, in the classroom, online or at home.  This has certainly been a challenging time for teaching and learning, as the navigation continues through it all.

Sentiment:  Teach.  Love.  Inspire.

This card was simple to make.  To begin, simply stamp onto a pre-trimmed piece of cardstock, using alcohol friendly ink or ink for use with your particular markers.  Next, add color in light shades.  I used light Copic marker shades first, then accented with darker tones.  Then, trim a background accent panel.  Finally, layer and assemble the card to finish.

Mailbox shaped card ~ MCT gift card giving

Hello.  Today, the My Creative Time team is sharing gift card giving themed projects.  Here is my mailbox shaped gift card holder.

Sentiment:  Celebrate

This was quick and easy to make with no coloring needed.  I just die-cut the pieces onto patterned and plain paper.  The sentiment was added with a stamp and die-cut as well.  I added the mini envelope onto the front for an added accent.

To get the shape card base with fun folds, just die-cut two of the largest dies, score the back panel's top edge at 1/4", fold that edge inward.  Position the mailbox evenly and the bottom portion with the two panels and then adhere the two layers together at the folded score section only.  The card should open, close and stand up easily.  This mini card or gift card holder measures approximately 4" x 3" assembled.  It fits into an A2 envelope with extra room.

Mixed media pear card + watercolor and distress oxide ink.

Hello.  For Technique Time at Unity, I am sharing a mixed media card using watercolor, stamping and distress oxide ink blending.

Sentiment:
New day, new strength, new hope.  We got this.

Here are helpful tips for creating this mixed media card.  To begin, pre-trim or die-cut watercolor paper to fit your card front.  Then, stamp the pear and one sentiment onto that watercolor paper.  Next, stamp the bottom sentiment or add foil onto vellum and then trim that to add later.  Next, prepare a palette of watercolors mixed with water.  Now, add color in different shades of green to the pear and the leaves and then heat set.  Once dry, begin adding ink shading using a blending brush, around that pear panel.  I used two colors of ink blending.  Then, splatter with green watercolor and again with white diluted paint.  Heat set.  Finally, layer the panels, the foiled sentiment, gems and cording to finish.

Hi, it's Gaylynn.  Here is Day 3 of the My Creative Time 101st Edition sneak peeks.

For today, I am sharing a card showcasing some of the pretty new circle dies coming soon.  There are so many possibilities for these pretty shaped dies.  Today, I decided to use assorted patterned papers in coordinating colors along with one of the new sentiments on vellum.  These would also be wonderful layered and framed in all sorts of projects.

For today, I am sharing a floral pocket card or gift card holder.  This one has two die-cut flowers on a die-cut pocket sleeve as part of the card front.  The flower and sentiment are part of the sneaks.  And the treat sleeve die is a revised set coming soon.  And it includes extra fun dies like this little tag and other accents.   I love this sentiment, especially during these recent times.

Foiling digital toner prints with Copic markers graduation card.

Hi there.  Today, I am sharing a graduation or encouragement card and video.  I used a digital stamp for this flower along with a pre-stamped and embossed sentiment from a red rubber stamp.

Sentiment:
Behind you all your memories, before you all your dreams, around you all who love you, within you all you need.

Here are helpful tips for creating this card.  To begin, either use printed digital stamps or hand-stamped images and a sentiment for use with Copic markers or your markers of choice.  Also, preheat a laminator.  Then, trim or die-cut the image panel and the glitter background panel, to fit your card base.  Next, stamp the sentiment.  Then, using clear embossing powder, heat emboss the sentiment to prepare it for foiling later.  Next, add color to the flower in layers for a variegated look.  I used Copics in a variety of colors listed below.  Next, sandwich the stamping with a piece of gold foil over the stamping, pretty side up, between a folded parchment paper carrier sheet.  Then, run it through a preheated laminator.  Gently peel away the foil.  Finally, layer everything and add twine to finish.

A floral card using a negative foil piece without a laminator.

Today, for Technique Time at Unity, I show foiling using a negative foil piece without a laminator.  I used the negative of a previously foiled project, noted below.

Sentiment:
Remember everyone else is making it up as they go along too.

Here are helpful tips for using a negative foil piece without a laminator.  To begin, pre-stamp, color and fussy cut the flower vase or your focal image as well as the sentiment panel.  Next, cover a pre-trimmed background panel with flat double-sided adhesive.  Then, place the leftover negative foil sheet over the taped cardstock panel, pretty side up.  Rub evenly over the taped area to smooth out the surface as much as possible.  Note, leave the foil attached to the cardstock panel.  Next, trim or die-cut that foiled cardstock panel to suit your project.  As an example, I chose to die-cut an oval from the foiled panel.  Finally, layer everything onto the card base to finish the card.

Here is a photo of two cards made using one piece of foil.  The left card is with the original pink foil sheet with a toner card front.  And the right card was made using the negative of the left card foiling sheet.  This sample on the right was made using foiling without a laminator.

Map Cards ~ Simple Stamping with Wonky Paper Layers Tutorial

Today, for Technique Time at Unity, I share two cards showing simple stamping with wonky paper layers.

Sentiment:  Here for you always.

Here are helpful tips for creating these cards using simple stamping with wonky paper layers.  To begin, for each card, trim or die-cut two background layers using coordinating patterned paper.  Then, stamp the map onto the top paper layer.  Next, stamp and trim the sentiment flag with Copic friendly ink.  Also, stamp the heart onto the map.  Then, color in the heart and the sentiment with Copic markers (or your color choice).  Optional, tie cording around the sentiment flag for an added accent if you want.  Next, adhere the back panel to the card base at a diagonal.  Then, adhere the top map panel over the bottom panel in a straight alignment or at an angle.  Finally, add the sentiment panel and adhesive dots, to finish the card.

Uplifting wishes girl card with Copics and ink blending + video.

Hello.  Today, I am sharing a sweet inspirational girl card with a mix of layers and simple coloring.

Sentiment:
May the wind be always at your back and the sun shine warm upon your face.

For this sweet card, first die-cut or trim layering panels.  Next, stamp the girl and sentiment with Copic friendly ink or ink for use with your coloring medium.  Also, add layers of color to the girl.  Then, add ink blending for shading around the girl panel.  Also, ink the edges of the background panel.  Next, add accents from scraps, gems or use doily trimmings.  Finally, adhere layers with either double-sided tape or foam tape, to finish.

Heart Tag ~ Day 3 MCT 99th Edition Sneak Peeks

Hi, it's Gaylynn.  Here is Day 3 of the My Creative Time 99th Edition sneak peeks.

Sentiment:  Congrats and best wishes.

For this card, I began by adding distress oxide ink blending directly onto the card base.  Then, I stamped and die-cut the wreath and the scalloped heart tag.  I used two kits for this and I think it works perfectly together.  This could be used for a wedding, bridal shower, anniversary or love occasions.

Amazing things butterfly favor box or gift holder.

Hello and Happy New Year!

Today, the My Creative Time team is sharing favor wrap projects.  Here is a small favor box decorated with a butterfly and an encouragement sentiment.

Sentiment:  You will do amazing things.

This is great for many occasions like good luck, graduation, going away, new job, congratulations, encouragement or as a gift card holder or party favor.

To begin, I die-cut the favor box from patterned paper.  I also die-cut the butterfly.  Then, I stamped the sentiment onto the front panel.  Everything was assembled.  Finally, tissue paper was included with a small gift token.

Supplies:  My Creative Time Present Box Die and Amazing Things; Ranger jet black archival ink, Ranger wonder tape, BasicGrey Plumeria paper and tissue paper.
