Hi everyone. Today I am sharing Summer vibes with a simple mixed media inspirational card. This one incorporates mixed stamping and patterned paper.
For the bees panel, I added extra color with a chicken wire stamp that also looks like honeycombs. And for the background paper, I added honeycomb dry embossing.
For this project, begin by preparing an A2 sized card base in white. Also, trim a sheet of patterned paper for a background layer. Then, onto white cardstock, stamp the bee layer in black alcohol friendly ink plus stamp the sentiment. Next, trim or die-cut the stamped panel. I cut an oval shape. For color, I added Copic markers for the bees, yellow and orange ink for the background stamping and distress ink blending around the oval. Then, dry emboss the yellow background layer in a honeycomb or similar pattern. Finally, layer the background with ribbon, gems and the bee panel using flat and foam double-sided tape, to finish.
Here is a closer look.
