Gift Card Holder ~ MCT 81st Edition Sneak Peek #3

Today, the MCT team is sharing Day 3 sneak peeks of the 81st Edition release.  Here is a masculine style birthday gift card or money holder.

Sentiment:  Have a super birthday.

MCT products used:
Treat Envelope Die
Have A Super Day
Family Is Everything Revised

For this gift card or money holder envelope, I added splatters with stamps in black, kraft and VersMark (clear) colors.  I needed this for my son's birthday, so I kept it simple with no frills but fitting for him.  I heat embossed the sentiment in white over the black die-cut layer.

The top of the envelope can be folded down.  But I decided to leave it up for easy access and to leave a little space for the sentiment.

Gift wrapped handmade cards belly band.

Sometimes, I give out a set of handmade cards as a gift.  This is a way to make a simple gift wrap for a set of cards.

For this belly band wrap, I used stamps and dies to make the band and the bird layers.  I added simple Copic coloring to the bird layer and then adhered the band together, around the card bundle.  To make the band long enough for this stack, I used two of the band die-cuts.

MCT products used on the belly band wrap:

Other supplies:  Cardstock, Copic markers E7, Y0000, E11, BG32; Big Shot machine, Pop Dots and double-sided tape.

I hope you were inspired to dress up your stationery for gift giving.  I think it gives a nice and unexpected presentation.

Good vibes only camper shaped card.

Here is a cute little camper circle shaped card for today.

Sentiment:  Good vibes only.

I love the retro look of the gypsy style camper.  And I love the positive message.  This is great for most all occasions.

I made the scalloped circle shape card from die-cut cardstock along with another layer for the image panel.  I used Copic markers, then added the sentiment pieces.

Here is a quick video tutorial on how I made the camper shape card.

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Good Vibes, Copic markers YG95, Y11, YG13, E33, G21, G28, R27, Y13, BG10, C1, C5, C3; My Creative Time Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, Big Shot die-cutting machine and Scrapbook Adhesives foam squares.

Enjoy your day.

Vegetable garden label stick markers.

Sometimes gardening can get a little leafy.  This type of label stick marker helps to identify vegetables, fruits or even flowers.  For these samples, I used veggies.

For these, I just used cardstock with simple stamping and die-cuts.  If you want these to be water resistant, laminate the toppers after coloring but prior to adding the lollipop sticks.
This is so easy to do.  I think I will try this for herbs and flowers as well.

Here is a quick video tutorial for these garden label picks.

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. I Hope This Grows, Copic markers W1, W3, G99, G07, YG03, YR04, R27; Wilton lollipop sticks, hot glue gun, My Creative Time stitched belly band dies.

Until next time...

Happy 4th ~ Independence Day Card

Today, I am sharing an early 4th of July card.  Since it is just one day away, I chose Independence Day for my holiday card for the MCT blog feature.

Sentiment:  Happy 4th.  Happy Independence Day!

For this card, I made a frame from the long sentiment.  And for the stars and sentiment, I stamped with three different colors to create a blended highlight look.  It is intentionally dark and light in different areas.   The tag was made from die-cuts and fastened with twine.

MCT products used:

Other products used include Ranger archival and Gina K. Designs ink pads; sequins and twine.

This was fun and easy to do.  Here is a closer look.

I want to take a moment to thank those who serve our country in various branches, at home and abroad, including first responders, law enforcement, the reserves, veterans and their families.  We are in the land of the free, because of the brave.

Planner art ~ USA map with flowers and feathers.

For my July planner cover pages, I decided to add a USA map, covered in flowers.  In honor of Independence Day, this map, along with feathers, were the perfect decorations.

Sentiment:  ... and so the adventure begins.

For the page art, I first colored and fussy cut the USA with colored pens.  Then, I used Copic markers for the map background and for the feathers.  The bottom flower is original planner art, which I added color to.

Here is a quick video tutorial showing how the pages were put together.

This is the two-page layout.  The right side is original planer art, but I added feathers to match.
Most of the art was pre-stamped and colored onto separate cardstock and then added to the existing planner pages.
The colored pens and the Copics would otherwise bleed through the pages.

Most of my journaling and other details are added off-camera.  I am sharing ideas, here, for sprucing up your planner pages.  See my related posts using stamping in planners and journals, below.

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Stronger Together and Hey Friend; The Happy Planner, Staedtler Triplus Fineliner colored pens, Copic markers V09, V04, V01, BV0000, RV11, RV09 and G0000.

Best wishes.

Seashells Card ~ Watercolor Wednesday at Unity

It is Summertime, and therefore, seashells are the focus of today's Watercolor Wednesday on the Unity blog.  Specifically, I share a no-line watercolor with stamping technique.

Sentiment:  Always keep a little beach day in your heart.

This is an uplifting card for any time.  It is made to look imperfect and with life-like shells.  The background netting was heat embossed in gold shimmer and the vintage typewriter sentiment was stamped.  But the seashells are made with stamping and watercolor.  Then, I fussy cut the shells to add them to the background.  I used a technique called no-line watercolor with stamping.

The full article and tutorial are up on the Unity blog.  I also made a quick video tutorial showing the no-line watercolor process:

This is a look at the colors used to watercolor the seashells.  However, I decided to use a flat stiff brush instead of the water brush shown.
I am including this as one of the #thedailymarker30day projects during this month.

Here is a closer look.

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. The Ocean Is Calling {smak 1/18}, Ranger watercolor paper, embossing powder, archival ink and distress ink pads; VersaMark, gold cording, My Creative Time dies and foam tape.

Be sure to visit the Unity blog for the entire article and tutorial.  Also, you can find my other watercolor features for Unity's Watercolor Wednesday.

Wishing you a sunny Summer.

Sending Hugs Favor Box ~ MCT Whatever Wednesday

This is a small treat or favor box for sending hugs, wishes or as a thank you.
It is one of the projects on the My Creative Time blog for Whatever Wednesday.

Sentiment:  Sending big hugs your way!

I mixed a few kits to make this favor box and gift tag.  For the box, I die-cut onto bright and cheerful patterned paper.  To make the tag, I die-cut with the XOXO tag die, placed a hole punch on the side and stamped the sentiment.  The hugging bunnies were colored in with Copic markers and then die-cut.  They were the perfect decoration for this treat box.

MCT products used:

Here is a look at the bunny rabbit coloring process.

Supplies:  MCT stamps and dies listed above, BasicGrey paper, Copic markers E11, E13, E18, E71, E00 and V01; white Sharpie pen and hemp.

Sentiment:  Happy 30th.  We belong here.

I used the lovely couple stamps by Unity, all except the Happy 30th sentiment.  That was printed and then added to the card.  For a masculine look, I kept the colors in the brown and sepia shades.  I love how it turned out.

Here is a quick video tutorial on how this card was put together.

Here is another look.

Welcome to the June 2018 blog hop with Unity Stamp Co. and Graciellie Design.

Here is my bible journal page using the lovely flowers and scripture.
