Pastel tropical beach card with watercolor markers and stamps

For Watercolor Wednesday, I am showing a way to get the look of pastel watercolor with stamps using watercolor markers.

Sentiment:  Celebrate!

For this card, I used watercolor brushes and stamps placed onto the smooth side of watercolor paper.  I decided to stamp and heat emboss in gold and then add light pastel colors for watercolor.  I also share ways to lighten color as you go.

The full article and tutorial are up on the Unity blog.
I also made a quick video tutorial showing the process for this project.

Stay in touch mailbox card with Copic markers.

Today, I am sharing a sweet mailbox themed card featuring a pretty mailbox with flowers along with flag accents.

Sentiment:  Stay in touch.

For this card, I used a mix of patterned papers from one paper pad.  I die-cut the bigger flags and the background map layer.  And for the tiny flags, I easily hand cut them and used them for added card accent.  This card is great for many occasions like miss you, thinking of you, good luck, going away, moving and more.

Bible journal stamping + Prima chalk edger watercolor.

For Watercolor Wednesday, I am sharing bible journal stamping along with Prima chalk watercolor.

Sentiment:  The Lord hears when you call.

Here is a way to add art for bible journaling.  I am showing a way to add bible journal stamping along with Prima chalk edger colors for watercolor.  This type of watercolor is great for the thin bible pages and for stamping onto dry surfaces.  After the page was dry, I lightly iron the page to remove some of the wrinkles.  Then, I stamped using different colors of the Prima chalk edgers.

The thing I like most about these chalk inks is that the ink will not bleed through to the back of the page.  You see a light shadow, but no more than the existing page print shadow.

The full article and tutorial are up on the Unity blog.
I also made a quick video tutorial showing the process for this project.

You did it ~ Mini treat bag or party favor.

Sentiment:  You did it!

This is a mini gift box, perfect for party favors, treats, small gifts or tokens.  This one is for congratulations with a "You did it!" tag.  It could easily be made with any theme and sentiment.
For his mini bag, I added distress oxide ink blending in two colors to cardstock.  A bit of water splatter was also added.  I then die-cut the bag and added the stamped sentiment as a tag.

This was fun to make.  I used the frame with patterned paper, cut the center partially and scored it for a top fold frame.  I also used a leftover watercolor piece from my stash to stamp the bird and sentiment.  Color was added to the bow and then everything was layered.  Fun and easy.

Coffee & tea watercolor card with Brusho crystal colors.

For Watercolor Wednesday, I made a vibrant coffee and tea themed card with Brusho watercolor and stamping.

Sentiment:  Treat yourself.

To get this vibrant background look, stamp and/or heat emboss a background.  I used one large background stamp with clear watermark ink and then heat embossed in white.  A layer of water was sprayed over the stamped watercolor paper prior to adding the Brusho powder.  Water was sprayed again after the powder.  Everything was heat set and assembled.
