Matching magnolia bird card, envelope liner & gift tag set.

Hi there.  This is a matching card, envelope and gift tag set make with stamping, Copics and magnolia patterned paper.

Sentiment:  Sing a song of hope.

Here are helpful tips for creating this.  Trim a background card panel from magnolia paper.  Then, trim or die-cut an envelope liner with coordinating paper.  Next, using the excess paper, trim and fold the paper to make a gift tag.   Then, stamp the bird and the sentiment onto cardstock, color it in and then fussy cut the bird and floral branch.  Also, trim the sentiment layer.  Finally, assemble the card, the gift tag and the envelope liner.  

Envelope liner:  Cut 5" x 4 " and score from the short end at approximately 2-3".  Or cut to match your envelope.

Gift tag:  Cut 6" x 3" and score from the long end at 3".

One layer cottage house card & video ~ Prima watercolor art tubes

Hi there.  This is a sweet home themed miss you card and tutorial, made with stamping and watercolors.  It is a one layer card.

Sentiment:  If I could, I would go visit you right now.

Here are helpful tips for creating this.  First, die-cut or trim a stamped panel from watercolor paper.  Also, if using watercolor, stamp with waterproof ink.  Next, mix watercolor palette colors with water to prepare for painting.  Then, with narrow paint brushes, add watercolor one section at a time and heat set between colors and sections.  Using more water on your brush will make the color lighter and using less water will make the color darker.  Alternate to get the shades that you want.  Finally, add double-sided adhesive to affix the panel to the card base, to finish.

DAD I love you birthday cake card ~ MCT anything goes

Hi there.  Today, the My Creative Time team is sharing anything goes projects.  Here is my masculine birthday cake card for Dad.

Sentiment:  Sending love your way.  I love you

This card is for a special milestone birthday.  Because of these uncertain times, we have to mail this with a special gift.  It is so hard to be away from the ones we love.  Celebrations are different now, but I think alternative creative ways of sharing love is appreciated.

For this card, I used patterned paper die-cuts, sentiment stamping and a touch of distress ink stenciling for the background.  To add a bit of shine, I used gold adhesive paper cuts for the letters and the candle.  There is no coloring necessary for this card.

Colored pencils + simple stamping ~ friendship card tutorial

Hello.  For Technique Time at Unity, I am sharing a card with Prismacolor colored pencils, simple stamping and sweet layers.  Adding touches of colored pencils to simple stamping goes a long way in card making.

Sentiment: Thank you for being my friend.

Here are helpful tips for creating this.  To begin, trim or die-cut a background panel, a stamp panel and also a sentiment panel.  I used assorted colored cardstock.  Next, using a stamp positioner, stamp the bike in black ink and stamp the postage accents in white.  Then, stamp the sentiment strip.  Next, use colored pencils to shade the bike trim and accents.  Finally, adhere all of the layers and add twine to finish.

Family love chair card ~ clean and simple with Copics

Today, I am sharing another card using the fun home and family stamps in the May 2020 Unity kit of the month.  I love the chair and pillows included with the family sentiments.

Sentiment:  Family.  I love our family and I love you.

This card was made using teal and gray colors.  I used the comfy chair and throw pillows.  Plus, I added one of the sentiments to a pillow by cutting the stamp and then stamping shorter word sections.  The family sentiment flag was hand-trimmed.  For color, Copics were used in layers for a soft look.  And the background is a piece of dry embossing, leftover from another project.  Finally, I fussy cut the pieces and layered it all to finish.

I kept this card clean and simple CAS style.  This could easily be made for other occasions like house warming or birthday just by changing out the sentiments.
