Color Block Valentine's Day Cards ~ Set of 4

 Hi friends.  Here, I am sharing a set of four Valentine's Day cards made using color block patterns in variegated colors.

Sentiment:
Happy Valentine's Day
Assorted candy heart verbiage

This is fun to make with just solid paper for color.  Another fun option is to use the stencils in the set to create the conversation hearts in different colors.

These are cards made the same but with alternating cardstock color strips.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making this set of four Valentine's Day cards.  To begin, prepare an A2 sized card base in white.  Then, choose four different smooth cardstock colors and trim them into four panels sized 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" each.  Next, using black ink or your own ink colors, stamp the candy heart conversation words all over each cardstock panel.  Also, add a stamped heart around a few of the words.  Then, onto separate scraps, stamp a set of sentiments for each color and then die-cut or trim them to use on the cards.  Next, using a paper trimmer, begin trimming strips from each of the panels, making sure to measure, mark and trim at the exact place for each color.  That helps the patterns and words match up.  Then, using a sheet of double-sided adhesive, begin assembling four different color strips onto the adhesive sheet, matching up the patterns as you go.  Repeat to get four backgrounds.  Also, trim the assembled background a bit smaller than the card base.  Finally, peel to adhere the background and the set of sentiments onto each card front, to finish.

I share a quick video here, showing the four cards up close and the different variations of color block. {Confession:  I had planned to have a full video of this color block process in the making but I forgot to push the "record" button.}
