Encouragement card with paper layers and Copic markers.

Today, I am sharing an encouragement card featuring a girl and beautiful sentiments.  I used paper layers and Copic markers for this.

Sentiment:
Believe.  Believe in your strength.  I do.

For this girl card, I placed the stamping so that it would fit into the oval frame.  For stamping, use ink for use with alcohol markers.  I then added layers of Copic colors, alternating from light to dark shades and back again.  I do this over and over for each section of the stamping.  I chose red and mint colors for the the framing and the background.  The heart is folded upward for a 3D look.  This design is a great way to spotlight the card focus.

I made a quick video tutorial showing the process for this project.

Pastel tropical beach card with watercolor markers and stamps

For Watercolor Wednesday, I am showing a way to get the look of pastel watercolor with stamps using watercolor markers.

Sentiment:  Celebrate!

For this card, I used watercolor brushes and stamps placed onto the smooth side of watercolor paper.  I decided to stamp and heat emboss in gold and then add light pastel colors for watercolor.  I also share ways to lighten color as you go.

The full article and tutorial are up on the Unity blog.

Super birthday masculine themed card for MCT.

Today, the My Creative Time team is sharing masculine themed projects.  I decided to make a card with the guys in mind.

Sentiment:  Have a super birthday!

Here is a fun superhero style masculine card with a birthday theme.  It has brown, white and kraft colors.  I used a chunky layered flag for the man and the sentiment.  With coordinating patterned paper for the background and a kraft color card base, it was finished in no time.

Magical unicorn balloons card and video tutorial.

Today, I am sharing a sweet card, perfect for a birthday.  It features a balloon topper and a unicorn that wobbles.

Sentiment:  Have a magical day.

This is a cute interactive card, made from two stamp kits.  I used Copic markers for color, fussy cut the balloon trim and made the unicorn circle wobble when touched.  This was fun to put together.  It could also be for a baby shower or other themes just by switching out the sentiment or colors.

Here is another look.
