Technique ~ Friends Of Unity Blog Hop July 2024

Hello! Welcome to the July 2024 Friends of Unity blog hop.  The theme this month is Technique.  I am showing two cards with eclipse stenciling.  Be sure to comment on our FOU blog posts during the month.  You will find your next stop in the blog hop below.

Before we begin, I want to reveal my new giveaway for July 2024 and also announce last month's winner. (Please note that this hop and our prizes are not sponsored by Unity Stamp Co. If you see a giveaway from a FOU hop crafter, it is a small gesture offered by the creator who assumes postage costs to bring a winner a small gift from the heart.)

My July 2024 Friends Of Unity Giveaway:

3. The winner is announced on my next month's FOU blog hop post. Respond promptly and contact me or private message your mailing info within 3 weeks from the announcement.
My July 2024 prize winner is Silvia H (Anonymous).
My June 2024 prize winner is
 Angi (AH Crafts). Angi claimed!
Be sure to contact me if you are noted as my winner by making a blog comment, Facebook message or note on my contact form above, within three weeks of announcement.
Now, onto my projects for this month. Both of these cards were made with what I call, eclipse stenciling. I switched up different monochromatic color schemes and stamps, but the general technique idea is the same. Here is one card in shades of lavender and pink.

Sentiment: Thinking of you. I used patterned paper as a background. The used coordinating colors of ink blending over the circle stencil, leaving an eclipse of color. The flowers were the only other thing with a touch of color added.

This is another look.

This is a look at the stenciling prep. I made sure that my ink pads were juicy with reinkers.

Now onto my second card in shades of green.

Sentiment: Sending a little love your way. Everything was made using the same steps but with an oval stencil and a mouse stamp. The paper pad is also the same but with a change of color.

Here is a short video summary:

Thank you for visiting.
