Easy Vintage Style Greeting Cards 2 Ways

Today for Unity Stamp Company, I share two ways to create easy vintage style greeting cards.

These cards were made using simple mixed media, stamping, a touch of color and patterned paper.  The papers simplified it all for easy card making.

Here is the first card with a faux watercolor background.

A closer look.

Also, this is a look at a similar version made using newsprint paper and adding vintage stamping over the paper.

One more look up close.

In summary, to make this set of easy vintage style cards, begin by choosing background paper to complement your stamp choices.  Then, stamp a background scene onto the paper with ink for use with your coloring medium.  Once dry, add a touch of color to only part of the stamping.  Next, trim or die-cut layers from the stamped panels plus a frame layer for each card.  Also, stamp or trim sentiments for each card.  Optional, add embellishments or twine for accents.  Finally, layer it all onto the card base, to finish.

Here is a peek at the process of making these vintage cards.
