Coffee or Tea Shaped Cup Card ~ MCT Make It Manly & Winter

Hello.  The My Creative Time design team is sharing masculine projects that work for winter as well.  Today, I am sharing a coffee or tea cup shaped card that is perfect for a guy or a gal.

This cup was cut using a versatile gift card die that is shaped like a cup.  But for this card, I am not using it for a gift card.  Instead, this is a shaped card without using the gift card opening.
The shaped card measures approximately 4" x 5" and fits into an A2 size envelope.

To create this, begin by die-cutting the cup shaped card base twice by keeping the top portion uncut using a die-cutting machine.  Also, to do this, keep the top portion of the cup out of the cutting plate layer and use a piece of card stock that is long enough to fit the two cup shapes.  Next, stamp and die-cut the sentiment.  Also, stamp the newspaper background onto kraft cardstock.  Then, die-cut the accents and cup layers.  Finally, to finish, layer the elements onto the card front and adhere another cup layer to the inside for use as a liner.

Also, Gina K. Designs connect glue, flat and foam tape, mini Misti, My Favorite Things black licorice card stock and vintage timber premium dye ink cube; red, white and kraft cardstock.
