For Technique Time at Unity, I am sharing a color burst watercolor card scene with a sweet mouse. Also, this is a way to use colored cardstock for a card base.
Sentiment: Thinking of you.
This is a bright and cheerful card that can be used for the holidays or most celebration occasions. It includes color burst watercolor, heat embossing and a card base in double-sided green cardstock.
Here are helpful tips for creating this card. To begin, I pre-cut and scored green cardstock for the card base. Also, I pre-cut lace trim and a watercolor panel. Next, I mixed and applied color burst watercolor in yellow and in green. Once that dried, I stamped and heat embossed the mouse scene. Also, the sentiment was stamped and trimmed with darker ink to make it stand out better. Finally, to finish, everything was layered onto the card base and assembled.
I made a quick video tutorial showing the process for this project.
