Creative card borders with foiling.

Today, I am sharing an idea for creative card borders.  It is always fun to create different looks with simple layers.

Sentiment:  Blissful.  Have a beautiful day.

For this card, I trimmed top and bottom borders and placed them in layers.  You can always use one or both or different shapes.  The top portion was stamped and then foil was added using a laminator.  Color was added to the open leaves.  Then I fussy cut the leaves to make a fun border trim.
The bottom sentiment panel was die-cut, stamped and foiled.  And in the center, I added a vellum sentiment panel to soften the look.

Tip:  I recommend adding color prior to foiling.  With a stamp positioner tool, stamping and coloring can be done and then re-stamp with watermark ink and heat emboss prior to foiling.  Otherwise, carefully add color outside of the foiled areas.

I made a quick video tutorial showing the process for this project.

Here is another look at the same card.  The foil shines and changes the look with movement.  The foil color is green but looks more like lime with different light.
