Teacup Flowers ~ Watercolor Wednesday at Unity

Today, this flower cup watercolor card is up on the Unity blog for Watercolor Wednesday.

Sentiment:  You deserve the very best.

This is a card for almost any occasion.  I am a tea lover and so this teacup floral planter had to get dressed up in watercolor.

For the watercolor, I used Sakura Koi along with narrow and medium watercolor brushes.  I am sharing a way to get the look of variegated flower colors.

Here is a quick video tutorial for this two-tone watercolor floral card.

Here is a closer look.

Be sure to visit the Unity blog for the entire article and tutorial as part of my Watercolor Wednesday series there.

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Coffee & Flowers and Tea Cup Floret by Graciellie Design;  Ranger archival ink and watercolor paper; watercolor brushes, sequins and hemp.

Dream Catcher ~ MCT 80th Edition Release and Blog Hop

Hello.  It's Gaylynn here with a dream catcher circle shaped card for the My Creative Time 80th Edition release, blog hop and sale.

You should have arrived from Miss Emily's blog.

Sentiment:  My all your dreams come true.

This can be for most occasions, especially birthday and other celebrations.

For this card, I used Ranger distress markers to watercolor the background.  I first applied marker color to a plastic craft mat.  The marker colors are peacock feathers and picked raspberry.  Then, I spritzed with water and placed the circle watercolor paper over the ink to pick up the color.  And for the dream catcher, I used Copic markers V01, RV19, BG53, B01 and BG49.

Never Stop Dreaming
Bunch of Fun Circle Dies

Bible Journal Florals ~ Unity Blog Hop with Graciellie Design

Welcome to the June 2018 blog hop with Unity Stamp Co. and Graciellie Design.

Here is my bible journal page using the lovely flowers and scripture.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy & peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope through the power of the holy spirit.  Romans 15:13

For this bible page, I show ways to work with vellum along with stamping and coloring.  I used Copic markers and colored on the opposite of the stamping.  This leaves a softer look to the coloring.  However, either side works depending on your preference.

I made a quick video tutorial on these bible journal florals and scripture art.

Here is the side view of the page.

For more of my bible journal projects and tutorials, see
bible journal.  I share different ways to create with stamping on the thin bible pages.  I would love your comments or suggestions.

Popsicle Gift Card Holder ~ Day 4 MCT 80th Edition Sneak Peek

Sentiment:  Happy birthday to the coolest person I know.

MCT products used:

Anything is Popsicle

The pretty treat topper die was used to top my gift card holder instead of using it as a treat topper.  It is versatile enough to work either way.   I just popped the card inside of a glassine bag, added the die-cut popsicle and coordinating birthday sentiment.

I know that this topper will also be used as party favors in the near future and for the holidays.
