Soften the look of cards with vellum.

Hey there.  One of my favorite things to add to cards is vellum.  This is a quick way to soften the look of your cards with or without added coloring.

Sentiment:  We cannot thank you enough.

Helpful Tips:

To create this thank you card, begin by trimming a background panel from color cardstock.  Trim it slightly smaller than you A2 card base.  Next, onto vellum cardstock, stamp a floral using a permanent in like StazOn.  Then heat emboss the stamping with clear embossing powder.  Suggestion: stamp on one side of the vellum and then add color to the opposite side of the vellum stamping.  This creates a softer and smoother color result.  Copic markers react differently on vellum and do not blend in the usual way on the surface.  However, after coloring, turn the vellum over to see the softer look of the coloring. Also, coloring is optional.  Vellum stamping with heat embossing creates a beautiful look on its own, especially with a color cardstock background layer.
Finally, trim the vellum layer to make a card front and add a piece of white cardstock behind the vellum for a spotlight effect.  Then, use double-sided flat tape behind the ribbon and behind the flower, to adhere the vellum panel, to finish.

This is another look.

I made a quick video tutorial for this project.

Thank you for visiting.
