How about mixing it up and getting messy. This is a rustic mixed media style card using dramatic stamping and texture.
Sentiment: Happy birthday.
This card incorporates rustic background stamping, coloring, ink blending and paint splatters.
To make this card, begin by preparing an A2 sized card base. Then, onto white cardstock, stamp the shattered glass in a colorful ink like teal. Also, stamp the lion and the sentiment. Next, trim or die-cut all of the stamped panels. Then, add color to the lion and add ink blending around the panels to get a rustic and distress look. Next, layer it all onto the card base. Also, cover any areas with a piece of paper where you do not want to splatter and then add paint splatters. I was very generous with the amount of paint on my brush because I wanted a dramatic look to complement the shattered glass background. Allow to dry or heat set, to finish.
Here is a closer look.
