Hi there. Here, I am sharing an anniversary floral watercolor card with a mix of techniques. This one features the Unity Stamp Co. background of the month for March 2023.
Here are helpful tips for creating this mixed media look. To begin, stamp the large background onto watercolor paper using waterproof or hybrid ink. Once dry, trim or die-cut your panel to fit onto an A2 sized card base. Next, add watercolor to the florals and then heat set. Then, stencil or mask a border around the edges in a complementing color. I chose teal for ink blending the border using distress ink pads. Optional, add a large sentiment. I chose a stamp and die combo for the happy anniversary sentiment. For adhesive, I chose flat double-sided tape and glue to keep this card mostly flat for mailing purposes. Finally, layer it all onto the card base, to finish.
Also, this is a closer look at the card.
