February 2023 Friend Of Unity Blog Hop ~ Say It!

Happy New Year!  The February 2023 Friends Of Unity blog hop inspiration is "Say It!" (All about the Sentiment).  I hope that you will join in on the fun and inspiration.  Simply comment on each blog in the hop.  See the end of this post for your next stop.

I have 3 projects for this month.  Be sure to scroll all of the way down to see them all.

To start with, here is my zinnia flower card using foiling.  No coloring was involved and it was made flat for easy mailing

And this is a set of zinnia cards that I will outline further down in this post.

Here is one more look at this monochromatic floral foiled card.  It is much more shiny in person than the pictures show.

Sentiment:
Congrats.  Wishing you a lifetime of happiness.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making this congratulations wedding card.  To begin, prepare an A2 size card base in white.  Also pre-cut or trim two background layers from smooth color cardstock.  Then, die-cut and stamp the congrats sentiment and the hearts.  Also, stamp and heat emboss the bottom sentiment onto color cardstock.  I used white embossing on teal.  Next, preheat a laminator on the highest setting and then prepare the stamp for foiling.  Use either heat embossing or use transfer gel duo for the stamping.  Once set, sandwich the stamped panel with foil on the top, pretty side up, between a carrier sheet.  Then run the sandwich through a heated laminator and allow the foiling to cool.  Now, gently peel away the foil to review the foiled floral stamping.  Finally, layer all of the panels onto the card base using flat double-sided tape and glue, to finish.

Now onto my next set of cards. These were fun to make using one stamped panel with coloring. The sentiment is the focal point on both.

To make this set of Hi cards, begin by preparing two A2 size card bases, one portrait style and one landscaped.  Next, onto a light piece of patterned paper, stamp the zinnias and the sentiment using alcohol friendly ink.  Then, add color to the zinnia flowers.  I used Copic markers, but use whatever you have to color in the stamping.  Next, prepare two backgrounds, one for each card plus an extra sentiment.  I used die-cut backgrounds, but solid or light patterned paper works as well.    Also, from the colored and stamped zinnia panel, cut out the Hi letters using font dies, Cricut, hand trim, etc.  Finally, adhere and layer each of the cards, to finish.

Here is the other Hi card using the pre-cut zinnia panel.  I didn't want the leftover flowers to go to waste.  You get two cards from one stamping.
