Hi there. Today, I am sharing an elegant monochromatic card featuring a flower against a dry embossed script background. I share how to make that background pop.
Here are helpful tips for making this card. Dry embossing pertains to the use of an embossing folder instead of heat embossing with ink and heat. To begin, prepare a card base, A2 sized. Next trim or die-cut a background panel from color cardstock. Also, stamp onto smooth color cardstock using embossing ink and then heat emboss the flower in white. Also, fussy cut (cut out) the flower. Then, stamp the sentiment in blue onto white cardstock and cut that into a circle shape. Optional, spritz water over the background panel and blot away any puddles to prevent paper cracking. Next, to emboss, sandwich the cardstock between the embossing folder and place that between two cutting plates or use your machine's embossing instructions. Then, run it all through your die-cutting/embossing machine. Heat set if needed. Carefully blend white pigment ink over the raised embossed areas to make the script pop a bit more. Dry. Finally, adhere it all onto the card base, to finish.
And, here is another look at this card.
