Hello and welcome. Today, I am sharing a watercolor Valentine card featuring big hearts and a coordinating frame layer using scraps from a previous project.
These big candy hearts sure make an impact on Valentine's Day or love occasions.
Here are helpful tips for making this watercolor Valentine card. To begin, prepare an A2 sized white card base. Then, make a frame or accents using leftover scraps like I did. Or, stamp doilies in different colors and then using a rectangle die, cut out the center of a card panel to make a frame. Next, stamp two hearts onto watercolor cardstock. Also, stamp the sentiment onto one of the hearts. Then, add watercolor to both using coordinating colors. Once, dried, fussy cut (cut out) the hearts. I added black marker around the edges to make the hearts pop. Finally, layer and adhere it all onto the card front, to finish.
This is a previous project of mine using the negative of the die-cut frame stamping. You get two cards using one stamped background if you want to make two.
