Hello. Today, I am sharing an idea for using heat embossing and ink blending for a vellum overlay card.

These are helpful tips on how to make a vellum overlay card by hand. To begin, make a background or use patterned paper. I heat embossed a script background in white onto white cardstock. Then, I added ink blending. Next, stamp and heat emboss onto one side of heat-resistant vellum paper using a sentiment and florals or stamps of your choice. I used white embossing powder. Also, trim or die-cut the background panel. Then, fussy cut (cut out) the edges of one side of the flower stamping to make a border. Next, adhere the background panel to the card base using foam tape. Finally, hide flat double-sided tape behind the flower stamping, adhere the vellum over the card front, to finish.
