Paint splatters with ink blending ~ Sunray card tutorial

 Hello.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing a technique for adding paint splatters with ink blending and stamping in card making and paper crafts.

Using two colors for paint splatters with ink blending adds depth and interest for card backgrounds, mixed media projects and paper crafts in general.

Helpful tips:

These are helpful tips for adding paint splatters with ink blending and stamping.  To begin, stamp or emboss the sunray onto white cardstock.  Next, heat set the ink and then add ink blending to the sunray panel in yellow and blue shades.  Then, over the sunray background, add paint splatters in two colors but one color at a time.  I used a splatter brush for adding the splatters in shades of white and gold.  Next, die-cut or trim the sentiment, vellum trim and a yellow frame panel.  Finally, adhere the layers over the card base plus added embellishments, to finish.

Also, Ranger Tim Holtz distress ink pads in squeezed lemonade, broken china & faded jeans, distress paint in picket fence & antique bronze, splatter brush; flat double-sided tape, Neenah solar white cover card stock, Simon Says Stamp ink blending brushes, Jolee's calla lily embellishment, Papertrey Ink vellum cardstock, glitter cardstock, My Favorite Things lemon drop card stock & on-point precision glue.
