Copic coloring on vellum + stenciling ~ card technique

Hello.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing an easy card technique featuring stamping and Copic marker coloring on vellum.  Also, I added a background with stenciling and ink blending.

One of my favorite techniques for card making is Copic coloring on vellum.  It creates softness using this technique.

Helpful tips:

These are helpful tips for Copic marker coloring on vellum with added background stenciling.  To begin, trim a background panel.  Next, stamp the flower and the sentiment onto vellum cardstock with permanent ink like StazOn or heat emboss the stamping.  Then, trim the vellum panel as needed.  For color, turn the stamped panel over and add Copic marker color onto the back side of the stamping.  This provides a softer look to the stamped side of the vellum.  Next, stencil a sunburst background and trim the background panel to fit the card base.  Finally, adhere the layers onto the card base then add accents and embellishments, to finish.

Also, Ranger Tim Holtz distress ink pads in speckled egg and squeezed lemonade, StazOn ink pad, flat double-sided tape, My Favorite Things radiating rays stencil, Neenah solar white cover card stock, Copic markers BG18, R27, 0; Papertrey Ink vellum cardstock, gelly roll white pen, Simon Says Stamp ink blending brushes, enamel dots, paper trimmer.
