Background star card cover up and watercolor poppies

   Hello.  Making a background star cover up with watercolor poppies creates dimension.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing the cover up process along with floral watercoloring.

This card is layered with a die-cut background star cover up and watercolor gold embossed poppy flowers.  It is filled with texture and interest.

Helpful tips:

These are helpful tips for creating a background star cover up and watercolor poppies.  To begin, die-cut the falling stars background onto white cardstock.  Also, die-cut that layer again using a smaller rectangle nesting die, to make the cover up a bit smaller than the card base.  Next, stamp the sentiment in black and stamp the flowers with embossing ink.  Then, heat emboss the poppy flowers in gold.  Next, add watercolor to the flowers with added splatter detail.  Also, heat set the color or leave out to dry.  Once, dry, fussy cut (cut out) the flower cluster.  Finally, add foam tape pieces to all of the layers and then adhere it all onto the card base, to finish.
