Gold embossed vellum watercolor floral card tutorial

Pairing gold embossed vellum stamping with watercolor looks lovely together.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing a way to combine the two techniques for one lovely card.

Sentiment:  Hi

For this card, vellum was used for stamping and for gold embossing.  The background was made using simple watercolor.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making this gold embossed vellum card.  To begin, trim or die-cut a background panel from watercolor paper.  Then, add at least two colors of watercolor loosely to the background panel.  Next, stamp the poppy flower onto heavy vellum cardstock using embossing ink.  Then, add gold embossing powder over the ink and then heat set the stamping.  Next, stamp and heat emboss the "hi" in black onto the top right side of the dried watercolor panel.  Next, fussy cut (cut out) the large stamped vellum flower and then adhere that over the watercolor background panel.  Finally, layer it all onto the card base with embellishments, to finish.

Here is another look.

I made a quick video tutorial showing the process for this project.
