Uniquely Unity ~ A Friend Like You Card

Today, I am up on the Unity blog with this project using the new Uniquely Unity membership kit for November 2017.

Sentiment:  A special friend like you is a gift.

This is perfect for a friend for lots of occasions like birthday, thank you and more.
I thought she looked perfect for a bright and cheerful floral pattern.

This card incorporates patterned paper, die-cuts, Copic coloring and a touch of glitter.

I made a quick tip video for this girl card.

I have been showing how I color in the stamps, because sometimes when I have skipped that particular step, I would get requests to see how it was done.  These are quick tip videos and so, the process shows quick techniques at a faster pace than the actual live process.
Feel free to request a particular technique or style for an upcoming video.

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. A Friend Like You Uniquely Unity kit for November 2017, Copic markers, dies by My Creative Time and Simon Says Stamp, BasicGrey paper, glitter glue, foam tape and twine.

Enjoy your day.

Blog Hop CardMaker & Terial Arts ~ Fall Postcard

Hello, it's Gaylynn here with an Autumn postcard for the CardMaker and Terial Arts blog hop.

Sentiment:  And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you, because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.  Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.  Roald Dahl

This post focuses on creating a postcard with fabric and Terial Magic Fabric Stabalizer spray.  I made a photo tutorial showing the steps for this project.

I found a beautiful piece of fabric in my Fall decorations.  I wanted to isolate the leaves.  But first, I needed to prepare the fabric with the spray.

Step 1:  Placed the fabric on a cookie sheet and then spray the fabric front and back.  Squeeze the fabric together, then hang until damp dry.  (The Terial Magic spray washes out, so wash the cookie sheet afterwards, but not the fabric.)

Step 2:  Once the fabric is damp dry, iron it on low over parchment paper, to protect your ironing board.  The fabric will be more stiff, once dry.

Step 3:  Cut the leaves and accents out with scissors.  Using double-sided adhesive, arrange them around a sentiment onto the front of the postcard.

This shows the front with the leaves and also what the back looks like.  I added glitter dots around the leaves to complement the quote.  This is going to be a decoration piece of mine for Autumn.  Because of so many  pieces in this, I suggest using an envelope if mailing something this layered.

This blog hop is just for fun and is filled with inspiration.  Visit and leave a comment on each blog in the hop.   The full lineup will be on the CardMaker blog, if you get lost along the way.
