Watercoloring & Accents with Bible Journaling

** If you are looking for the Unity blog hop, scroll down or click HERE. **

Today, I am sharing another bible journal page.  I used watercolor and die-cut accents.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge...  Psalm 91:4

This passage was highlighted on another project and on its corresponding page, using a different image.  This one is with the newest Phyllis Harris / Unity stamp release.
Watercolor paper was used for the image and watercoloring.  I cut it out and added more die-cut details, for this page.

If you want to see more of my bible journal posts click Bible Journal.
I share my trial and error techniques for adding art to the thin bible pages.
If you have suggestions for a particular tutorial, I would love to hear them.  Comments are always welcome.

Here is a video tutorial for this bible journal page.

Inspirational Feathers Mixed Media Canvas

Today, I am sharing a 5" x 7" inspirational mixed media canvas.

Sentiment:  She's a dreamer, a doer, a thinker.  She sees possibility everywhere.

This was made with two of the beautiful new Unity releases.
I loved the feathers, so I used lots of them and made a frame for the wonderful sentiment.  The vintage look was just what I was going for.

I used a few techniques and color blending in a quick video tutorial.

CardMaker & CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog Hop

Hi, it's Gaylynn.
Today, the design teams from both CardMaker Magazine blog and CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog are sharing projects in a blog hop.
You should have arrived from Maureen's blog.

The CAS-ual Fridays Stamps site is sponsoring four lovely prize packages each valued over $40 so be sure to comment on each blog in the hop.

Today is my birthday.  This hop is a great way to begin my day.
Here is my project using the lovely Pretty Posies stamps and Posies Fri-dies by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Sentiment:  A little note to say you are terrific.

The flowers and leaves were stamped and heat embossed onto watercolor paper and then painted with watercolor.  The dies easily cut out the beautiful posies for placement.  The leaves and sentiment shimmer in gold.  I love the flowers and the encouraging sentiment.

Here is a closer look:

Many thanks to CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and to CardMaker for this super fun co-hop.

Vintage flower thinking of you card.

Here is vintage mixed media style flower handmade card with matching envelope.

Sentiment:  Thinking sweet & lovely thoughts of you today and always.

I think this is a great all occasion card for birthdays and more.
I used mixed media techniques for this one, using a dictionary page, gel medium, watercolor and paint spritz.  I like that it is perfectly imperfect.

There is no video for this one.  The battery exhausted during the process.  Maybe I can repeat this process in the near future with a different design.

Here it is a little closer:
