Enjoy The Moment

This is the season of weddings, graduations & confirmations. So, I wanted to make some cards to fit these occasions.  These colors of yellow, black and ivory are some of my favorites.  So, I gave it a yellow rose to match.  This is designed around Miss Kim's challenge theme over at My Creative Time.  The Tic-Tac-Toe three in a row that I chose was the first vertical column. Use a die, button & patterned paper. Also, I have blog candy today!!!

The front has "CONGRATS" and the inside has "enjoy the moment...". This came out pretty, I think.

Tools used include:
My Creative Time - Tag & Stitched Button Dies, Small Talk, This & That.  Also, cardstock,  ribbon, BasicGrey paper, Tim Holtz Distress Markers in Dried Marigold & Mustard Seed, Inkadinkado rose stamp and cording.

I have blog candy today.  I am giving away one brand new pack of ribbon by Karen Foster Design.  It is just like the prom pack set I used for this pretty black and silver leaf trim on today's card. 4 designs per pack.  I will announce a random winner on my blog April 8, 2013, U.S. address only. 1. leave a comment 2. follow my blog then comment that you did. 3. Extra - not required, Like my facebook page and comment that you did.

Music of My Heart

My flowers are blooming and the birds are chirping away.  This puts me in the mood for Spring projects.  Today I want to show my newest card creation.  This design is inspired by the Unity Stamp Company Color Challenge {things} i love, {places} i love, {family} i love.  This will be included for today's Unity Friends With Flair as well.

The front sentiment is "you've opened the music of my heart" and the inside "many many thanks".  I think this has a country feel with the bird, colors and plaid.  I tried my hand at using the Tim Holtz distress markers, but still have a ways to go with this technique.  I picked this stamp set with my daughter in mind.  She is an amazing piano player. I miss her since she's away at college. She really has opened the music of my heart, and she needs to be reminded of that from time to time.

Tools Used Include:
Unity Stamp Co Music of my Heart stamps.

Thanks for visiting. Hope you'll follow this new crafty blog of mine while you're here.

25th Wedding Anniversary

This card design was inspired by our very own Silver Wedding Anniversary coming up in June.  Time flies when you're having fun.  We were together five years before that... so I guess you can say 30 total.  I cannot believe it has been that long.

The inside reads "LOVE is the key to happiness".

Notice the keys are silver and the 25 tag includes silver glitter.  It has several layers of diecut accents and it is dimensional with popped up features.  The two love birds are the focus against the damask backdrop.  The colors are silver, grey, taupe, black and white.

This milestone design is filled with elements from My Creative Time.  It is included in Miss Nancy's designer challenge there.

Tools used include:
My Creative Time Stamps & Dies from Chocolate Greetings, Chunky Jar Accessories, Vintage Stitched Label Dies, More My Favorite Sayings.

Thanks for stopping by.  We welcome your kind comments.  Have a great day.

Thanks for your support Mini Card

This is a mini card, hand crafted with tender love and care.  Anyone who is faced with an uphill battle knows that support, even if in thoughtful words, makes a difference.  Kindness is shown in many different ways.  A good deed does not go unnoticed. This mini note card and envelope was designed to thank the people that lend support, thoughts, care and concern when it matters the most.   The fun images and sentiments by Unity Stamp Co. were just the right touches to bring a smile and a little humor as well.  Today, this is included in the FWF projects on their blog.

The cardstock was cut and scored with decorative paper & trim added.  Fun unity stamps helped make this little mini come to life.  The envelope was handmade also and diecut to fit the card perfectly.

Tools used include:
EK paper, cardstock, ribbon, Unity stamps from Sexy Silly and Sassy set, Ranger ink, My Creative Time fancy envelope die and Cuttlebug

Thanks for visiting. Would love your kind comments. Hope you'll follow my crafty blog while you're here.
