Wedding or shower congratulations ~ MCT Made In Minutes

Hello.  The My Creative Time design team is sharing projects which were made in minutes.  This wedding themed card was put together in minutes and with no coloring involved.

Sentiment:
Sending you prayers for everlasting love and happiness.
Welcome to the family.
Congratulations.

For this card, I used the beautiful wedding sentiment stamps from the set noted below.  I paired a few sentiments together to say the perfect greeting.  Also, the sentiment panel was die-cut.  I added little icons from a previous set that are not currently available, my apologies.  But, any wedding stamps or dies will decorate this circle frame, nicely.  To soften the look, I tied tulle around the card panel, to finish.

Supplies:  My Creative Time Save Our DatePretty Scallop Circle Dies and wedding icons (out of stock).
Also, color cardstock, adhesive pearls, foam tape, white tulle, Gina K. Designs connect glue, MFT extreme black hybrid ink pad & chantilly cream prestige card stock.

Pumpkin Topper ~ MCT 113th Edition Release & Blog Hop

Hi, it's Gaylynn.  The My Creative Time 113th Edition release, sale and blog hop has begun.  The design team is sharing project inspiration on our blogs.  Please visit each blog in the blog hop and leave a comment on each of the release posts.
For the blog hop, you may have arrived from Emily's blog.

Sentiment:  You are pretty amazing.

For this pumpkin card, I decided to make it a circle shape card with non-traditional pumpkin colors.  I think that it would work for Autumn, Thanksgiving or any time of the year.  Even though the die set was designed as a treat topper, the pumpkin pieces in the set can be used on their own, like in my card.  It is very versatile.

To make this circle-shaped card, gather the dies and accessories noted below.  Then die-cut all of the pieces using different colors of cardstock and/or patterned paper.  Next, stamp and trim the sentiment for the center of the card.  Also, use a mixture of flat and foam tape for added card dimension.  To finish, layer all of the pieces and add embellishments to finish.

Stamp dimension 3D butterfly with Copic coloring ~ card tutorial

Today, I am sharing Thanksgiving greetings using beautiful Autumn leaves, a butterfly and a sentiment.  This card arrangement was just what I was hoping for.

Sentiment:
Thinking of you this Thanksgiving season.

The leaf is a large stamp.  So, I decided to stamp portions of it along the bottom to make room for the sentiment and the pretty 3D butterfly.

Helpful tips:

To create this, begin by stamping the leaves, the sentiment and the butterfly onto a piece of cardstock using Copic friendly ink.  Also, stamp another butterfly onto vellum using StazOn black ink or vellum friendly ink and allow it to dry completely.  Next, color in the stamping and trim or die-cut the card front.  Also, color the second butterfly on the opposite side of the vellum stamping.  Then, score a fold line on the vellum butterfly.  Next, onto the card base, apply light link blending for background shading.  Then, adhere the card front over the ink blending.  Also, adhere the vellum butterfly over the first butterfly, at the bottom portion only, stamped side up.  Fold the wing out for a 3D effect.  Finally, add sequins, to finish.

 Supplies:
Unity Stamp Co. Thankful Oak.
Also, flat and foam double-sided tape, sequins, Ranger distress oxide ink in spiced marmalade, ink blending brush, Misti, Papertrey Ink vellum cardstock, jet black StazOn ink pad, My Favorite Things stitched mini scallop rectangle STAX die-namics & extreme black hybrid ink pad; Gina K. Designs connect glue, card stock, Copic markers YG95, YG03, YG13, RV11, 0, E13, E33, YR04, YR07, YR14, Y15.

Hello, it's Gaylynn.  The My Creative Time 113th Edition release is coming up on Friday.  But for today, the team is sharing Day 4 sneak peeks.

Sentiment:  Boo

For today's sneak peek, I enjoyed using the ghost cover die.  I used it with an A2 side fold card base.  This spooky ghost shape floats upward a little.  I used splatters for the background over navy blue cardstock.  The moon is a circle die-cut and the sentiment was heat embossed.  This was really fun to make.

2 Tag Cards ~ 1 Background Stamp Two Ways ~ Tutorial

Here is a way to stretch your background stamps while also using your handmade tags.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing 2 tag cards using 1 background stamp two ways.

Sentiments:
So dang sorry you are feeling so sad.
Hello.

Changing up colors and texture is a great way to use background stamps.  This technique shows how to use 1 background stamp two ways for two tag cards.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making these 2 tag cards using 1 background stamp two ways.  To begin, stamp the background twice onto white cardstock, using kraft color ink.  Next, on one of the backgrounds mark your paper placement to prepare for restamping later.  Then, leave the background stamp affixed to the original Misti or stamp positioning tool.  Next, for the purple card, color in some of the flowers and then restamp using embossing ink, keeping the placement the same.  Then, heat emboss in gold.  Also, stamp and heat emboss the sentiment panel using a different stamp positioner or after the background is completed.   Next, using the extra kraft color background, make another card without color or embossing.  Just add a premade tag and die-cut sentiment.  Finally, layer both cards, to finish.

Here is another look.

I made a quick video tutorial showing the process for this project.

Hello, it's Gaylynn.  The My Creative Time 113th Edition release is coming up on Friday.  But for today, the team is sharing Day 2 sneak peeks.

Sentiment:  Open if you dare.

This slimline card was fun to make.  I used MCT slimline dies along with this Halloween tree as the focus.  A nighttime moon was added and a banner sentiment.  For color, I used distress oxide ink blending in an ombre effect.  This is great for Halloween greetings on its own or with a surprise inside.

Sentiment:  Trick Or Treat

Here is a fun decoration for Halloween favor bags for treats or other little gifts.  I used a glassine bag and added a decorated panel that includes a spider web and a sentiment.  Twine was used as the bag closure and to secure the embellishments.
For sparkle, I used glitter cardstock in silver and black.  It all sparkles so nicely.  This design could be easily incorporated into a card also.

Paper piecing technique ~ coffee or tea mug card tutorial

One way to accent a coffee or tea card is by using the paper piecing technique.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing a coffee or tea themed mug card using this technique.

Sentiment:
Thank you, friend.

Adding color to stamping using the paper piecing technique makes for easy card making.  I used it for the coffee or tag mug along with pretty patterned paper.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making this card.  To begin, stamp the background onto color cardstock and then trim or die-cut it to fit your card front section.  Next, stamp and trim a sentiment accent plus a die-cut thank you sentiment.  Then, stamp the mug once onto patterned paper and then stamp the lid onto white cardstock.  Next, fussy cut (cut out) the mug and lid and adhere the lid to the mug.  Also, stamp and fussy cut two bees to match the yellow and black card colors.  Finally, layer it all onto the card base, to finish.

Here is another look.
