Beer Bottles ~ Save Water Card
Here is a celebration card for the day. I am using this for a masculine birthday.
I really do like making girly cards the best, but because we have so many guys on both sides of our family, it seems that I am forever making masculine cards.
Sentiment: Save water, drink beer.
This is a one layer card.
The beer bottles were overlapped in the different colors, like beer is.

Cat & Mouse Card
This is going to go to my daughter who has a sweet kitty.
Sentiment: Just fur you.
For this, I wanted to use no patterned paper.
The background is distress ink using a mask on the card, then used all raised layers.
The cat & yarn scene is Copic coloring.

Stationery Gift Box Day 5 Growing In Unity
And just like that, it's Day 5 of my GIU week for the Unity Stamp Co. blog.
Today, I am sharing a stationery gift box project.
Today, I am sharing a stationery gift box project.
When I give out handmade card sets as gifts, I like to include a gift box for them.
I use an existing white stationery box with clear removable lid. Then I add a decorated panel similar to a card front.
For this particular flower design, I heat embossed in layers, one color at a time, drying and using a powder tool in between each layer. Then I framed the panel and added craft foam between layers. I finish the inside of the lid with a white piece of cardstock to cover adhesive marks.
Here is a helpful video by Jennifer McGuire on layered heat embossing.
In person the embossing shines and the red is more vibrant.
I have used decorated boxes like this to hold cards, address labels, stamps and small gift items.
This is linked up with Unity's Friends With Flair projects today.
Each day this week, I will be sharing a project on my

Life In Your Years Card Day 4 Growing In Unity
For Day 4 of my GIU week for the Unity Stamp Company blog.
I layered stamps, layered inks and did a bit of ink smooshing for the butterflies.

Sentiment: It's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years. ~ Abraham Lincoln
I decided to make this a birthday card with this meaningful quote.
Different shades of purple were inked directly to the floral stamp before stamping.
The butterfly die-cuts were smooshed into ink from distress markers and water, then dried.

Pretty Dresses Day 3 Growing In Unity
It's Day 3 of my very first GIU week for the Unity Stamp Co. blog.
For this week, I use mostly stamping with minimal patterned paper.
I want the focus to be on the beautiful Unity stamps.
Sentiment: Happiness looks beautiful on you.
I used three different sets including a background stamp for this, colored with Copic markers and used heat embossing. I added a little sparkle to the white dress.
I think this image is fitting for wedding, prom, homecoming and love occasions.
Each day this week, I will be sharing a project on my

The background image was stamped twice, once with silver embossing and once in navy. I used the colors of the challenge. Have a safe and happy 4th of July!!!
